about

A Few Minutes of Eternity was the very first song that I had ever written. Close to a year after losing Lexi and Leslie, I was driving home from work and began to feel the need to play my guitar. If I would have had my guitar with me in the car, I would have stopped right there and played on the roadside. At the time I was still very emotional about loosing our twin girls Lexi and Leslie and they were constantly on my mind. Even though close to a year had passed, the pain of that night was still fresh on my mind. So when I got home, I grabbed my guitar yet this time it was different for I also grabbed a pen and paper. Before then I had never even thought about writing a song, but here I was describing that painful yet so beautiful night on which we lost our precious little girls and while writing I was singing and adding chords to help tell this story.
I am very thankful for this song, for it reminds me of how precious life is and how only few minutes of this life on earth can make an impact on someone that will last an eternity. Thanks to my two precious little girls in Heaven, I have become a better follower of Christ, a better Husband, a better Father, and a better Friend. May we see each other again someday!

lyrics

I woke in fright
Saw Hopelessness
I told her everything will be just fine
Behind the wheel, I was praying to Jesus
Please keep our babies safe tonight

Jesus You called my name, and said
Everything is gonna be just fine
It won’t be long
And you will see
A Few Minutes of Eternity

Beside Her bed I was
Still praying to Jesus
Please seal my wife’s broken womb
But now she holds our babies
In the palm of Her Hand
30 minutes oh how they flew.

And Jesus You called my name, and said
Everything is gonna be just fine
It won’t be long
And you will see
A Few Minutes of Eternity

Bridge
Two precious girls
Sent From Heaven
Oh how beautiful they were
On that Painful Night
How Short How Sweet
And oh how they saved my life.

Final Chorus
Cause Still You call my name, saying
Everything is gonna be just fine.
If you live for Me
Someday you’ll see
Two girls in Eternity
